Story
It all began when WRD's founder needed to pass a government language exam in the shortest time possible.
After five years of trying traditional learning methods — apps, teachers, courses — he still couldn't reach even a basic level. With a newborn at home and very limited time, he decided to build something new — a system that would make language learning faster, more efficient, and more natural than anything available.
He analyzed how people truly use language — not from textbooks, but from real speech, books, movies, and everyday communication. By combining this research with early NLP models, he created the first prototype of a language learning accelerator designed to give the maximum increase in understanding in the shortest possible time with the least effort.
Using this first version, he passed the Lithuanian A2 exam on his first try — in just five months.
That breakthrough became the foundation for WRD — an intelligent learning platform that has since evolved through several generations of AI and is now used by over a million learners worldwide.
